A Good Deal

0 min read
For all you oil painters out there who know of a Michael's nearby, you ought to consider stopping in. They had a really great deal on Grumbacher Pre-tested Oils there, where if you buy one tube, you get one for a cent. I made out like a bandit, and considering how pricey oils can get, I keep a good eye out for deals like this so I can pass them on to fellow artists. If you're a user of Grumbacher paints, or if you'd like to try something new, by all means go check it out.

Burlap

0 min read
I've been doing some research of late at different painting grounds, and I found something quite interesting: many artists still use burlap as a canvas substitute. I also saw that burlap is made from jute, which some kinds of canvas are also made of. Many older artists used burlap, some of Paul Gauguin's Tahitian canvases were painted on burlap, and Vincent Van Gogh's The Red Vineyard was painted on burlap too. Aside from that though, I've been looking for something with a tougher texture, so I'd really like to try using burlap. Wish me luck with it.

Hippies

0 min read
God I hate hippies. Everywhere I look someone's saying "They're hippies, he's a hippy, she's a hippy, I'M a hippy!" It's ridiculous, they're all stupid, selfish, pot-smoking, mushroom hogging, ugly cousinfucks who are just acting like they're caring and compassionate about peace and love between people and the environment to cover up their own self-centeredness. I wonder how chill they'd all be if the world just crashed down all around them. OK, I'm done my rant now.

THANK YOU MERCI BEAUCOUP
You're welcome! Great paintings, I love how you let them drift into the abstract, but don't overdue it either. It's like a perfect balance. Bravo!
Thank You for the watch!! :D
